Selective soil herbicide for controlling the most common annual grasses and some broadleaf weeds on agricultural crop fields
Active ingredient: acetochlor, 900 g/l.

Mode of action
The active ingredient, acetochlor, is absorbed by weed seedlings and primary roots from moist soil, inhibiting protein synthesis and disrupting cell division processes, which leads to plant suppression and death. In annual grasses, the herbicide usually enters through the coleoptile, while in annual broadleaf weeds it enters through the primary roots.
Spectrum of action
The herbicide eliminates weeds that cause significant damage to agricultural crops, especially during early growth stages — species of Chenopodium; proso millet; white goosefoot; black nightshade; shepherd's purse; species of chickweed, and others.
Working solution rate: 300-400 L/ha
Application rate of the herbicide
The herbicide application rate depends on soil type. Soils with high humus and clay content partially reduce the herbicide's effectiveness due to binding and neutralization of acetochlor molecules. Therefore, the herbicide is recommended to be applied at maximum recommended doses on loamy soils and soils with high humus content, while on sandy soils — at minimum recommended doses.
Application of the herbicide
The herbicide is applied by ground spraying of soil before, during, or after sowing. Maximum herbicide effectiveness is observed when applied before seedbed cultivation. When applied after crop sowing, high effectiveness and avoidance of crop toxicity require a minimal time interval between sowing and herbicide application, as well as incorporation of the herbicide into the soil using cultivators.
Conditions for herbicide effectiveness
Main conditions for high herbicide effectiveness are:
— presence of soil moisture;
— fine soil structure;
— even distribution of the working solution in the 0-5 cm soil layer.
All these conditions to some extent depend not only on specific weather and climatic conditions of a given year, but also on appropriate agronomic practices.
Factors reducing herbicide effectiveness of HERB 900
Uneven distribution of the herbicide on the field surface and in the 0-5 cm soil layer due to:
— Using malfunctioning or improperly calibrated sprayers.
— Exceeding the recommended travel speed of the equipment.
— Poor soil preparation and uneven field surface.
Application during unfavorable conditions for weed germination — soil moisture deficit.
Application after emergence of weed seedlings.
Application at unjustifiably low herbicide dosage.
— At low temperatures (+5..+8°C), especially with adequate soil moisture and shallow seed placement, there is a risk of crop toxicity
Preparation of working solution
To prepare the working solution, fill the sprayer tank with water to 1/3 of its volume, activate the mixing mode, and add the required amount of herbicide. Then top up the sprayer tank with water to full capacity while the mixing mode is active. During application, the mixing mode must remain active to maintain a homogeneous working solution.
