Advanced selective herbicide based on Arylex active technology, designed for effective weed control under varying temperature conditions.
Description
Synergistic Formulation: Advanced Weed Control
QUVELEX 200, WG represents a high-tech approach to selective weed management, utilizing a three-component system: florasulam, halauxifen-methyl, and the safener cloquintocet-mexyl. The core innovation is Arylex™ active (halauxifen-methyl), a novel arylpicolinate chemistry. Unlike older auxin herbicides, it maintains high biological activity at temperatures as low as +2°C, providing a distinct advantage for early spring application in winter and spring cereals.
Technical Composition and Functionality
- Halauxifen-methyl: Functions as a synthetic auxin, causing rapid, irreversible physiological disruption in target weed tissues. Its low use rate makes it an environmentally efficient tool.
- Florasulam: Targets the acetolactate synthase (ALS) enzyme, inhibiting essential amino acid synthesis, which prevents cross-resistance development in common weed species.
- Cloquintocet-mexyl: Acting as a safener, it accelerates the metabolism of the active ingredients within the crop plant, ensuring the safety of wheat and barley even under harsh environmental conditions.
Practical Application Metrics
Formulated as water-dispersible granules, the product offers superior handling and mixing stability. With a recommended application rate of 0.05–0.075 kg/ha, it provides a cost-effective solution for controlling stubborn broadleaf weeds, including common ragweed (Ambrosia artemisiifolia), cleavers (Galium aparine), and common chickweed (Stellaria media). As a post-emergence herbicide, QUVELEX 200, WG targets weeds selectively, allowing for safe application during critical growth stages of cereals without inducing phytotoxicity. A single application per season effectively secures the crop’s nutrient uptake by eliminating weed competition.

By type of action
Depending on their ability to move through living tissues, herbicides are divided into contact and systemic. Contact herbicides cause local damage to plant tissue upon contact, which dies or gradually degrades. This action does not always completely destroy the plant; often, its... |
