The Science of Reactivation
Once applied to the soil, isoxaflutole converts into diketonitrile, which inhibits the p-hydroxyphenylpyruvate dioxygenase enzyme, leading to rapid bleaching and elimination of target weeds. The key technical advantage is its sensitivity to moisture: during dry spells, the herbicide's activity is paused, and upon the next rainfall, it reactivates to control any newly germinating weed flushes.
