Mechanism of Action and Selectivity
Quasar EC is a systemic herbicide based on quizalofop-P-ethyl (aryloxyphenoxypropionate group). Unlike contact products, the active ingredient penetrates the leaf structure and moves through the phloem to the growth points, blocking lipid biosynthesis. This is crucial for controlling perennial grasses like couch grass (Elytrigia repens), as the herbicide destroys both the foliage and the underground rhizome system.

The Emulsifiable Concentrate (EC) formulation ensures superior adhesion to the waxy layer of grassy weeds, increasing efficacy even under challenging weather conditions.
