Managing weeds in forage beets is always a challenge, especially when white goosefoot or amaranth start crowding the crop. We rely on 'Stefam Novy' by Stefes as our go-to insurance herbicide. The German formulation—a classic blend of desmedipham, phenmedipham, and ethofumesate—works exactly as expected, providing consistent results across the field.

Field Application and Performance

What I appreciate most about this herbicide is its predictability. As a contact, selective herbicide, it effectively clears out broadleaf weeds while leaving the beet crop completely untouched. Since it comes as a suspension concentrate, it mixes seamlessly into the spray tank without clogging nozzles or leaving residue.
