Description
Purpose: herbicide for the destruction of a broad spectrum of broadleaf and grassy weeds in soybean and pea crops.
Active ingredient: imazethapyr, 100 g/l.
Mode of action: Tapir penetrates through the roots and leaves of plants, moves through the xylem and phloem, and accumulates at growth points. Imazethapyr disrupts protein synthesis, leading to disruption of DNA synthesis and slowing cell growth in weeds.
Herbicidal activity spectrum: Ambrosia arborescens, bindweed, field mustard, common sow-thistle, medicinal yarrow, Duschka Sofia, common starwort, white deadnettle, field chickweed, common oats, pink sow-thistle, black nightshade, common chickweed, sticky plantain, wormwood (species), quackgrass, creeping couch, wild radish, scentless chamomile, cocklebur (species), chickweed (species).
Speed of action: Visible signs of Tapir’s action appear within several days after application, in the form of chlorosis of young leaves, death of growth points, cessation of development, dwarfing, complete death occurs within 3 — 6 weeks.
Application timing: Before planting, with shallow incorporation (3 — 6 cm), Tapir can be applied to soybeans. It should be noted that deep incorporation (more than 6 cm) reduces herbicide effectiveness. To achieve high efficacy, careful pre-plant soil preparation is required, excluding large clumps (over 2 cm). After planting, before emergence, Tapir can be applied to soybeans and peas. The soil must be thoroughly prepared to remove plant residues. In drought conditions, Tapir should be incorporated to a depth of 1 — 2 cm. After emergence, Tapir can be applied to soybeans and peas. In this case, herbicide efficacy is maximized. During application, broadleaf weeds should be in the 2 — 4 leaf stage, grasses — in the 2 — 3 leaf stage.
Application technology: Application can be conducted up to the 3rd trifoliate stage in soybeans and 3 — 6 leaf stage in peas. No inter-row cultivation should be performed within 2 — 3 weeks after application. After using Tapir, no sulfonylurea or imidazolinone herbicides should be applied during the entire season.
Crop rotation restrictions: After using the herbicide, you can sow:
• after 4 months — winter wheat;
• after 11 months — corn, spring wheat, oats, barley, winter barley and rye;
• after 18 months — sunflower, sorghum, rice;
• after 26 months — all crops without restrictions.
If reseeding is required, only soybeans, peas, or beans can be sown on Tapir-treated areas.
Compatibility with other products: To broaden the spectrum of activity and enhance efficacy, Tapir can be used in tank mixtures with bentazon-based products.
Do not use Tapir in tank mixtures with grass-specific herbicides (Target Super, Target Hyper, Legion, etc.)!
Working solution rate: 200 — 300 l/ha.
