The herbicide "Jupiter" is a selective systemic preparation based on imazethapyr, belonging to the imidazolinone class. Its key technical advantage lies in its ability to block the acetolactate synthase (ALS) enzyme in the meristematic tissues of weeds. This leads to the cessation of the synthesis of three essential amino acids—valine, leucine, and isoleucine—causing rapid growth arrest in weeds.

Absorption Mechanism and Systemic Action

The product exhibits dual activity, which is critical for protecting soybeans and peas:

• Foliar Penetration: Upon post-emergence application, the active ingredient is rapidly absorbed by the vegetative mass, moving through the xylem and phloem to active growth points.
• Soil Activity: Due to its high soil persistence, "Jupiter" forms a "protective screen," blocking the germination of new weed seeds for a certain period after application.

Efficiency Against a Broad Spectrum of Weeds

The technical specifications of the product allow for the effective suppression of the most problematic broadleaf and certain grass annual weeds: common ragweed, common lambsquarters, redroot pigweed, wild mustard, shepherd's purse, and common chickweed. The systemic nature of the action prevents regrowth, even if only a part of the aerial plant mass is damaged.

Application Features and Dosage

"Jupiter" is supplied as a water-soluble concentrate, which facilitates the creation of stable working solutions. With an application rate of 0.5 to 1.0 L/ha, the product demonstrates maximum selectivity. It is important to note that the maximum number of treatments is limited to one per season, requiring precise selection of the crop development stage. The pre-harvest interval is only 1 day, making the technology flexible for intensive farming operations.
