The "Emerald Lace" salad is a mid-early variety with bright green, highly crinkled leaves forming a dense semi-erect rosette. The leaves have a crisp texture and delicate consistency, giving the salad high taste qualities. The plant differs in its decorative appearance due to the beautiful wrinkled surface of the leaves and a rich light-green color.
This lettuce variety is suitable for growing both in open ground and under film coverings. Plants form a powerful rosette of leaves, the mass of one reaches up to 400 grams, and the yield is from 3 to 5 kilograms per square meter. The salad is resistant to flowering and withstands low lighting well, which makes it convenient for various growing conditions.
Sowing seeds is recommended at the beginning of May at a depth of 1-1.5 cm with subsequent thinning to a distance of 25-30 cm between plants. "Emerald Lace" is ideal for consumption fresh, and can also be used for decorative purposes to decorate flower beds thanks to its attractive foliage.
