Description
Lilac 'Tatyana Polyakova' is a common lilac variety distinguished by large white flowers with a diameter of 2.5–3.2 cm and a bright medium fragrance. Bushes reach a height of up to 2.2 m and a width of about 1.8 m, featuring an open form with slightly egg-shaped leaves, green in color, matte and smooth.
Flowering begins in mid-May and continues until the end of the month. Inflorescences are large (28–30 × 18–22 cm), consisting of 3–5 pairs of pyramidal racemes, with each inflorescence containing between 460 and 600 flowers. Flowers are pure white, without spots, while stamens have a golden hue.
The variety is resistant to diseases and pests, hardy (zone 3, temperatures down to –34 °C) and drought-tolerant. It is excellent for greening various climate zones in Russia, including the North-Western, Central, Volga-Vyatsk, Chernozem, and Middle-Volga regions. 'Tatyana Polyakova' is used both in hedges and in alleys, shrub groups, and in compositions with herbaceous plants due to its love of light and ability to withstand slight shading.
