Growing and harvesting experience

The crop is undemanding and handles light frosts well, but in dry areas without irrigation, the leaves quickly turn tough and lose their aromatic intensity.

• Soil: prefers light loams; in heavy clay, it grows slower but develops a sharper flavor profile.
• Maintenance: standard practices—thinning after the second or third leaf appears and regular watering for juiciness.
