Description
Medium-late maturing variety, obtained at VSTISP by pollination of the 'Compact' variety with pollen mix of 'Goliath', 'Kent', and 'Lia Plododorodnaya' varieties. Author: V.M. Litvinova. Included in the State Register of Varieties approved for use in the Central and Volga-Vyatka regions in 1988.
Medium-height, medium-spreading, medium-density bush. Growing branches of medium thickness, gray-green, with pinkish tips, hairy, woody, thick, straight, hairy, gray-brown. Buds large, egg-shaped, pink-red, blunt, deviated from branches, solitary, terminal — very large, free, leaf scar shape rounded-triangular.
Leaf five-lobed, medium, green with grayish tinge, matte, wrinkled, leathery, curved. Central lobe longer than lateral ones, sharp, with additional protrusions. Lateral lobes short, sharp, angle between their veins straight. Basal lobes well developed, veins directed toward petiole. Base with open, rounded, small or medium notch. Teeth wide, blunt, without distinct tip, petiole medium length, thick, reddish.
Flowers medium size, cup-shaped, sepals yellow-green, reflexed, free. Inflorescence short or medium (4-6 cm), with short pedicel, medium density, axis medium thickness, without hairs, pedicel medium length, green, without hairs.
Berries large (average weight 1.2 g, maximum 2.3 g), round, black, dry detachable, with medium number of seeds. Receptacle medium, half-open, does not fall off. Taste sour-sweet (4.5 points). Berries of universal use. Chemical composition: sugar content — 7.2%, titratable acidity — 2.0%, ascorbic acid — 200.4 mg/100 g.
Winter-hardy, self-fertile, relatively resistant to bud mite, average yield 14.2 t/ha (3.8 kg/plant).
Advantages of the variety: large-fruited, high-yielding.
Disadvantages of the variety: tendency of bushes to overcrowding, susceptible to powdery mildew and anthracnose.
