Description
Medium-ripening variety, developed at the Southern Ural Research Institute of Fruit and Vegetable Growing and Potato Cultivation by crossing the varieties Chulkovskaya and Fayya Plodorodnaya. Breeders: V.S. Ilyin and A.P. Gubenko. Since 2009, included in the State Register of Breeding Achievements approved for use in the West Siberian region.
Medium-height, slightly spreading, dense bush. Growing shoots are thick, slightly curved, green, hairless, with a slight, sometimes anthocyanin, coating. Medium-sized buds, solitary, elongated-oval, light-brown, arising from the shoot at an angle or sessile. Petiole trace is narrow, rounded-conical.
Leaf five-lobed, large, dark green, glossy, wrinkled, blade hairless, concave along the central veins of the main lobes. Lobes pointed, central exceeds lateral ones, broad, oval, with additional protrusions. Angle between central veins of lateral lobes is straight, lateral lobes are broad, of medium length, widely spaced. Basal lobes well developed. Leaf base with a shallow, rounded indentation. Teeth of medium length, sharp, not curled. Petiole of medium length and thickness, hairless.
Flowers of medium size, dish-shaped, weakly developed perianth, light green. Sepals not closed, yellow-green, reflexed. Inflorescences of medium length (up to 7 cm), medium density. Axis thin, green, weakly hairy, petiole thin, green, hairy.
Berries large (0.8–1.7 g), one-dimensional, round, red, with a small number of seeds, sweet dessert flavor, rating 5 points. Receptacle half-open, round, pedicel long, thin, green. Chemical composition: dry matter — 14.4%, titratable acidity — 2.7%, ascorbic acid — 37.5 mg/100 g.
Winter-hardy, high-yielding, average multi-year yield is 11.7 t/ha, maximum — 51.7 t/ha (3.5–15.5 kg/plant), self-fertile (61.1%), resistant to powdery mildew, slightly damaged by fire blight and sawflies.
Advantages of the variety: high yield and winter hardiness, large berry size, dessert flavor, resistance to diseases and pests.
