Description
Medium-ripening variety, obtained at the VNIIS I.V. Michurin Institute from crosses (Brodtorp x Svyriai) and (Altai Dessert x Stakhanovka Altai). Authors: T.S. Zvyagina, T.V. Zhidkhina. Included in the State Register of Varieties approved for use in the Middle Volga region in 1999.
Medium-height, medium-spreading bush. Woody stems of medium thickness, curved, grayish, hairless, matte, with yellowish tips. Buds of medium size, elongated-oval shape, reddish, sessile, slightly deviated from the stems, leaf scar shape rounded-triangular.
Leaves five-lobed, medium-sized, green, loose, bare, shiny, smooth, blade positioned downward on the stem, leaf margin wavy. Lobes pointed, central lobe longer than lateral ones. Lateral lobes widely spaced, angle between their midribs straight. Basal lobes moderately developed. Leaf base with broad, rounded notch. Teeth medium-sized, small, serrated and doubly serrated, with clearly defined white "tips". Petiole medium length and thickness, anthocyanin-colored along entire length, slightly hairy near leaf base.
Flowers medium-sized, bell-shaped, calyx lobes pale with purple stripes, free, curved in an arc. Inflorescences medium-sized (4.5-6 cm), conical, solitary, central and thick axis, straight, without pedicel.
Berries medium to large (1.1-1.3 g), round, black, with slight gloss, medium seed count, medium-sized seeds, sweet-tart flavor (4.2 points), versatile use. Calyx small, round, closed, pedicel short, straight. Chemical composition: dry solids — 14.5%, total sugars — 9.4%, titratable acidity — 2.6%, ascorbic acid — 171.8 mg/100 g, P-active substances — 1116.0 mg/100 g.
Highly winter-hardy, drought-tolerant, relatively resistant to bud mite and fungal diseases, average yield 12.5 t/ha (3.8 kg/plant).
Advantages of the variety: high winter hardiness and drought tolerance, high yield.
Disadvantages of the variety: relative resistance to septoria and spider mite.
