Description
The variety was obtained at the Saint Petersburg State Agricultural Academy (LSHI) by crossing the varieties 'Chernaya Lisavенко' and 'Leningradskiy Velikan'. The breeder is E.I. Glebova. In 1994, it was included in the State Register of varieties approved for use in the Central Chernozem region.
The bush is medium-sized, weakly spreading, oval-shaped. The stems are medium-thick, straight.
The leaf is green, hairless. The leaf blade is smooth, shiny, concave. The midrib is bent downward and sideways. The leaf tips are sharp, the angle formed by the leaf lobes is obtuse. The base of the leaf has a central notch. The teeth are sharp and long.
The flowers are medium-sized with pale coloring. The sepals are short, slightly hairy, bent upward. The clusters are short and medium length (6.9 cm), with berries arranged loosely. The cluster axis is medium-thick, straight, and hairless.
The berries are large (1.4-2.2 g), one-dimensional, dry-detaching, black, matte, with a dessert-like sour-sweet, refreshing taste. The calyx is small and half-open. Chemical composition of the berries: total sugar content — 8.3%, titratable acidity — 2.8%, ascorbic acid — 190.5 mg/100 g.
The variety is winter-hardy, early-bearing, high-yielding — 6.2-7.9 t/ha (1.4-1.8 kg/plant), self-fertile.
Advantages of the variety: winter-hardiness, large fruit size, dessert taste.
Disadvantages of the variety: spreading crown, insufficient resistance to powdery mildew and anthracnose.
