Description
Medium-ripening variety, obtained at the All-Russian Research Institute of Fruit Crop Selection from crossing the varieties Lentyay and Ershistaya. Authors: T.P. Ogoltsova, L.V. Bayanova, S.D. Knyazev. Included in the State Register of Varieties Approved for Use in the Central, Volgo-Vyat, and Central Chernozem regions in 2004.
Medium-height, loosely branched, sparse bush. One-year non-hardened shoots of medium thickness, green, hairless, shiny. Hardened shoots medium-sized, gray-yellow, shiny, with yellow tips. Buds single, alternate, medium-sized, rose-purple, egg-shaped with a pointed apex, arranged parallel to the shoot, slightly asymmetric. Terminal bud free, equal in size to lateral buds, leaf scar shape rounded-triangular.
Leaf five-lobed, large, dark green, shiny, wrinkled, weakly fringed. Central lobe narrow, triangular with a broad base, slightly longer than lateral lobes, with a sharp elongated apex. Lateral lobes short, indentations between them small, angle between their veins straight. Upper sides of lateral lobes aligned on a straight line, lower side slightly angled. Basal lobes barely noticeable, veins directed toward the leaf apex or spread out. Base indentation very small, open, wide. Teeth small, sharp, broad. Petioles medium length and thickness, brightly colored, hairy.
Flowers and sepals medium-sized, brightly colored. Inflorescence medium, dense, stem medium, hairy.
Berries very large (1.6 g), round-oval, one-dimensional, black, shiny, with average seed count, medium skin, dry detachment. Calyx round, medium, closed, pedicels medium length, straight. Taste sour-sweet (4.4 points). Berries for general use. Chemical composition: dry solids — 11.1%, sugar sum — 7.8%, titratable acidity — 3.3%, ascorbic acid — 159.0 mg/100 g, anthocyanins — 193.7 mg/100 g, leucoanthocyanins — 231.7 mg/100 g, catechins — 262.7 mg/100 g, sum of P-active substances — 688.1 mg/100 g.
Winter-hardy, early-bearing, highly self-fertile (59%), large-fruited, resistant to powdery mildew and rust; affected by anthracnose and bud mite at medium severity, suitable for mechanical harvesting, average yield 11.0 t/ha (1.6 kg/plant).
Advantages of the variety: high stable yield, large fruit size, suitability for mechanical harvesting, resistance to powdery mildew and rust.
Disadvantages of the variety: affected by anthracnose and septoria at medium severity.
