Description
Medium-ripening variety, developed at Yakut Agricultural Research Institute by crossing [(Koksa × Harakytalik) × (Nadezhda × whitecurrant)]. Breeders: M.A. Chertkova, L.P. Gotovtseva. Under state variety testing since 2005.
Medium-height, strongly spreading, moderately dense bush. Stems of medium thickness, hairy, yellowish-brown. Buds of medium size, solitary, conical, pressed, anthocyanin-colored, hairy. Leaf scar shape is wedge-shaped.
Leaf five-lobed, medium-sized, green, slightly glossy, medium-thick, wrinkled, blade folded along main veins. Lobes pointed, central lobe narrowly triangular, slightly longer than lateral ones. Angle between lateral lobe veins obtuse. Basal lobes distinctly expressed, spread out. Base heart-shaped, indentation of medium depth and width, open. Teeth medium-sized, with clearly defined tips. Petiole medium length and width, hairy, anthocyanin-colored at base, positioned at 45° angle to stem.
Flowers large, cup-shaped. Sepals pale pink, loosely arranged. Inflorescences medium length, curved. Berries densely arranged in clusters, stem thickness and hairiness medium. Pedicel medium length, green with anthocyanin coloring, slightly hairy.
Berries medium-sized (0.9 g), oval-round, black, dry detachable, medium seed content, thin skin. Receptacle medium-sized, closed. Taste sour-sweet, delicate. Berries suitable for general use. Chemical composition: dry matter - 14.3%, total sugars - 9.2%, titratable acidity - up to 2.9%, ascorbic acid - up to 210.2 mg/100 g.
Winter-hardy, drought-tolerant, resistant to diseases and pests, average yield 6.1 t/ha, maximum - 14.3 t/ha.
Advantages of the variety: high winter hardiness of buds and stems, high vitamin C content, yield, attractive berries.
Disadvantages of the variety: susceptibility to powdery mildew.
