Description
Medium-ripening variety, obtained at the Institute of Berry Cultivation of the NAS of Belarus from crossing form 2-4D and blackcurrant form 'dikusha'. Authors: A.G. Voluznev, N.A. Zazulina, A.F. Raduk. Included in the State Register of Selection Achievements approved for use in the Northwestern and Ural regions since 1985.
Bush is vigorous, slightly spreading, almost upright. Growing shoots of medium thickness, straight, hairy, green, with red-purple tips. Woody shoots of medium thickness, straight, dark-gray, hairless, matte. Buds of medium size, elongated, with pointed tips, rose-purple with gray tinge, deviated from the shoot. Bud scales short, with noticeable 'nose'. Terminal bud free, thin, elongated.
Leaf five-lobed, large, with fine notches, light green, blistered, slightly concave, hanging, with pointed lobes. Base of leaf with medium indentation, angle of lateral lobe departure straight. Leaf teeth blunt, short. Petioles hairy, bluish.
Flowers medium, light green with pinkish tinge. Flowering raceme curved, medium and short. Berry arrangement in raceme medium. Axis of medium thickness.
Berries medium (0.8 g), round, brown, shiny, with thin skin. Calyx round, closed, small, pedicel long, green. Flavor sweet, with medium aroma, pleasant (4.8 points), flesh juicy. Berries of universal use. Chemical composition: dry matter — 15.0%, total sugars — 8.5%, titratable acidity — 1.8%, ascorbic acid — 187.0 mg/100 g, pectin substances (on fresh weight) — 1.4%.
Cold-resistant variety, high-yielding (8.0-10.0 t/ha), self-fertile, no berry drop, moderately affected by American powdery mildew and leaf spot diseases.
Advantages of the variety: dessert flavor.
Disadvantages of the variety: brown berry color and susceptibility to fungal diseases.
