Description
Vladimirskaya blackberry is a medium-early, high-yielding variety with an upright, vigorous bush up to 1.5 meters tall. The plant grows rapidly, forming strong and flexible stems with dense clusters bearing large, round-oval, shiny black berries. Leaves are maple-like, dark green, turning reddish in autumn. Berries ripen uniformly and almost simultaneously, facilitating harvesting, including mechanized collection.
Berries of the Vladimirskaya variety have firm, elastic skin with dry detachment, weighing 1.5 to 4.5 grams. The flesh is brown-green, aromatic, with a refreshing sour-sweet flavor, making this variety one of the best for fresh consumption. Due to its taste qualities and high sensory rating, berries are widely used for freezing, as well as for making homemade wines, jellies, jams, compotes, and morsels. Products made from this blackberry have rich flavor and long shelf life.
The variety exhibits high resistance to fungal diseases, leaf gall, and bud mite, as well as adaptability to low temperatures and drought. It is tolerant of growing conditions and can thrive on various soil types. Thanks to these qualities, Vladimirskaya is a reliable and productive variety suitable for cultivation in various regions, including Ukraine.
