Varta™ from Kemiline Agro is a dual-action fungicide designed for complex crop protection. By combining Azoxystrobin (a strobilurin) and Propiconazole (a triazole), the formulation offers a comprehensive approach to disease management in soybeans, sunflowers, and winter wheat.

Azoxystrobin acts by disrupting the mitochondrial respiration of fungal cells, effectively stopping spore germination. Propiconazole inhibits ergosterol biosynthesis, providing a robust curative effect once an infection has established itself within the plant tissue. This synergy ensures that the plant is protected both on the surface and from within the vascular system.

Technical Specifications and Application

• Formulation: Emulsifiable Concentrate (EC), which facilitates superior leaf coverage and rapid systemic translocation.
• Action Type: A mix of contact and systemic properties ensures broad-spectrum protection against various pathogens including Fusarium head blight, Septoria, Phomopsis, and Cercospora.
• Operational Guidelines: The recommended application rate ranges from 0.5 to 1 liter per hectare.
