UKROMNOVSKY — a late-maturing winter garlic variety, distinguished by large bulbs of round-flat shape with yellowish-white skin. The average weight of one bulb is about 84 grams, containing 6-7 wide cloves with creamy skin and semi-sharp flesh. Plants of this variety are bolting, reaching a height of 120-140 cm, indicating powerful development of the aerial part.

This variety is renowned for its high yield, which under proper care and favorable climatic conditions can reach over 2.2 kg per square meter or 20-24 tons per hectare. For successful cultivation of UKROMNOVSKY garlic, it is recommended to use fertile soils with neutral acidity. Ten days before planting, the soil must be thoroughly prepared: dig it over, apply superphosphate and potash fertilizers, and if organic matter is lacking, add 5-6 kg of compost per plot. Fresh manure is not recommended, and dry soil should be moistened before planting.

Planting material requires preliminary treatment: garlic cloves are separated the day before planting to prevent the bottom from drying out, then soaked in a potassium permanganate solution for disinfection for 3 hours and dried parts are removed. Cloves are planted bottom down, maintaining a distance of 10 cm between them and 25 cm between rows, which ensures optimal conditions for root system development and subsequent growth. Such an approach to planting and care allows maximizing the variety's potential and obtaining a rich harvest of quality garlic.
