Description
Medium-ripening variety, developed in the Mountain Horticulture Department of the Siberian Institute of Horticulture named after M.A. Lisavenko in 1969 from seeds of the variety 'Ledentsev'. Author: L.N. Zabelina. Since 1999, it has been included in the State Register of Breeding Achievements approved for use in the West Siberian region.
Medium-height, medium-spreading, medium-density bush. Stems of medium thickness, straight or slightly curved, green with slight anthocyanin blush at the tips, without hairs. Woody stems of medium thickness, gray, without hairs. Thorns of medium length and thickness, single and triple, light-colored, arranged perpendicular to the stem along its entire length. Buds of medium size, single, terminal — free, elongated, pointed, brown, without hairs, deviated.
Leaves five-lobed, medium-sized, green, without hairs, smooth, dense, concave, glossy. Basal lobes moderately developed, veins spread out. Central lobe slightly longer than lateral ones. Leaf base with small, open notch at the apex of the stem, closed at the apex. Teeth large, hairy along the edges. Leaf petioles of medium length and thickness, green, located at a sharp angle (45°) to the stem in the middle of the stem.
Flowers of medium size. Sepals pink, petals white, not fused, deviated. Inflorescences with 1-2 berries, medium length (5 cm) and thickness, green, without hairs.
Berries medium to large (2.7–4.5 g), single, oval, red, slightly glossy. Skin dense, dry detachment, easy, good transportability. Seeds medium-sized, brown. Taste sour-sweet, delicate. Receptacle of medium size. Berry stems of medium length, green, without hairs. Chemical composition of berries: soluble dry matter — 10.0%, total sugars — 8.0%, titratable acidity — 1.9%, tannins — 0.2%.
Winter-hardy, high-yielding (6.8–9.4 t/ha), characterized by good self-fertility and resistance to fungal diseases.
Advantages of the variety: high yield, attractive berries.
Disadvantages of the variety: strong thorniness.
