Experience with Bayer herbicides shows that when you need to forget about weeds for a long season, it is better to use «Бекано 500 SC» once than to spend money on contact products continuously. The active ingredient, indaziflam, represents an innovation that works at the level of cellulose synthesis inhibition. In practice, this means that weeds do not even manage to break through the soil surface.

Operational features and application

As an operator, I value predictability. This systemic herbicide is applied only once per season. The golden rule is a clean field before application. If you leave existing weeds, the product will not «save» them, as it acts primarily as a soil barrier.

• Application rate: from 0.5 to 1.0 l/ha. For most orchards, the sweet spot is around 0.6–0.7 l/ha, which is quite sufficient for creating a protective screen.
• Technology: uniform distribution on moist soil is crucial. Indaziflam has a unique ability to bind to soil particles, preventing leaching into deeper layers even during heavy rainfall.
• Safety: hazard class 2 requires strict adherence to protection protocols during handling. However, for the crop itself (apples, grapes), the product is selective and safe when dosages are followed correctly.

Effectiveness against a wide range of threats

«Бекано» covers the control of most annual broadleaf and grass weeds. After applying the suspension concentrate, a «screen» is formed that keeps the field clean for several months. This is critical during periods of peak competition for water and nutrients. Essentially, this is an investment in yield: you do not waste the garden’s energy on fighting unwanted vegetation. With proper application technique, results are visible within a few weeks due to the total absence of new sprouts.
