Systemic control of a broad spectrum of broad-leaved weeds in resistant sunflower crops.
Description
Mechanism of Action and Selectivity
"Express 75, WG" is based on the active ingredient tribenuron-methyl (750 g/kg), which belongs to the sulfonylurea class. The systemic effect of the product lies in blocking the acetolactate synthase (ALS) enzyme in weeds. This immediately halts cell division and growth in sensitive plants. Since sunflowers resistant to tribenuron-methyl have the ability to rapidly metabolize this substance, the herbicide provides high selectivity, effectively eliminating competitors without compromising the crop.
Technical Specifications and Application
The water-dispersible granule formulation ensures rapid dissolution in the tank mix and prevents dusting during loading. The high 75% concentration allows for a significant reduction in logistics: with an application rate of 0.03–0.05 kg/ha, the product's effectiveness is maintained even when using low spray volumes.
- Spectrum of Action: Reliably controls the most aggressive broad-leaved weeds, including Canada thistle, sow thistle, ragweed, lamb's quarters, amaranth, wild mustard, and chamomile.
- Application Timing: Post-emergence control is performed during the sunflower growth stage from 2 to 8 leaf pairs.
- Safety: The product is classified as Hazard Class 3, requiring standard safety precautions during handling.
It is essential to consider that "Express 75, WG" functions as a foliar herbicide, so uniform coverage of the leaf surface is critical for maximum efficacy. Complete mortality of sensitive weeds occurs within 10–25 days, although growth inhibition happens just hours after application, effectively eliminating competition for moisture and nutrients.

Depending on their ability to move through living tissues, herbicides are divided into contact and systemic. Contact herbicides cause local damage to plant tissue upon contact, which dies or gradually degrades. This action does not always completely destroy the plant; often, its... |
