It is a systemic, soil-applied herbicide that disrupts photosynthesis in germinating weeds by inhibiting photosystem II. Due to its selective nature, the product does not suppress crops when applied in accordance with the specified guidelines.

• Formulation: The suspension concentrate ensures optimal stability of the working solution and uniform coverage of the soil surface, which is essential for creating a reliable protective "barrier."
• Application Method: Strictly soil-applied (pre-emergence). The product binds to the soil absorption complex, creating a layer that enters the root system and sprouts of weeds as they attempt to penetrate the topsoil.
• Weed Control Spectrum: Effectively manages annual grass and broadleaf weeds. Optimal efficacy is achieved in soils with sufficient moisture levels, as water is necessary to activate the active ingredients.

Practical Usage Recommendations

The dosage ranges from 2.0 to 3.0 l/ha, depending on soil type: higher rates are recommended for heavy (clay) soils, while lower rates are sufficient for lighter soils. Only one application per season is permitted. "Primero, SC" is classified as a Hazard Class 3 product, necessitating standard safety precautions when handling agrochemicals.
