Description
Medium-late maturing variety, developed at the VNIIS named after I.V. Michurin by crossing the varieties Minay Shmyrev and Bredtorp. Authors: K.D. Sergeeva, T.S. Zvyagina. Included in the State Register of Varieties Approved for Use in the Northwestern, Volga-Vyatka, Central Volga, Ural, West Siberian, and East Siberian regions in 1997.
Medium-height, medium-spreading bush. Growing shoots are medium, straight, light green; woody shoots are yellowish, with yellowish-brown tips. Medium-sized buds, elongated-oval, pointed at the apex, golden-brown, sessile, slightly deviated from the shoot, solitary, leaf scar shape rounded-triangular.
Five-lobed leaf, medium size, green and light green, blade smooth, matte, leathery, smooth, convex, wavy margin. Leaf lobe tips are sharp, central lobe exceeds lateral ones. Lateral lobes are widely spaced, angle between their midveins obtuse. Basal lobes are moderately developed. Leaf base is irregularly heart-shaped with a small notch. Teeth are sharp, short, curled, with a clearly defined white "tip". Petiole of medium length, medium thickness, with anthocyanin coloring on part of the petiole, weakly hairy.
Flowers are medium-sized, cup-shaped, with weakly expressed calyx, green-purple sepals, not fused, curved in an arc. Inflorescences are medium length (5-8 cm) and density, conical shape, hanging, axis thick, straight, weakly hairy.
Berries are large (1.1-1.5 g), round, black, with medium quantity of elongated seeds, sour-sweet taste (4.5 points), universal use. Receptacle is round, small, closed, pedicel medium length, straight. Chemical composition: soluble dry matter — 17.1-20.7%, total sugars — 8.8-12.1%, titratable acidity — 2.7-3.6%, ascorbic acid — 154.8-191.5 mg/100 g, P-active substances — 1132.0 mg/100 g, pectin — 1.2%.
Cold-hardy, early-bearing, heat- and drought-resistant, relatively resistant to powdery mildew and bud mite, suitable for mechanized cultivation, average yield 12.0 t/ha (3.6 kg/plant).
Advantages of the variety: high cold hardiness and productivity, excellent taste and market qualities of berries, good transportability.
Disadvantages of the variety: shows insufficient resistance to powdery mildew in certain years.
