Description
Medium-early maturing variety, obtained at the All-Union Institute of Selection of Fruit Crops from crossing the varieties Chulkovskaya and Red Lake. Author: L.V. Bayanova. Under state variety testing since 1996.
Medium-height, slightly spreading bush. One-year-old growing shoots with light brown tips, straight, medium thickness.
Leaf five-lobed, medium or large size, dark green, leathery, shiny, wrinkled. Blade slightly folded along main veins. Leaf tips droop downward. Lobes broad, pointed, central exceeds lateral ones. Angle between central veins of lateral lobes is acute. Notches between central and lateral lobes are deep. Basal lobes well developed. Leaf base with small wide notch, teeth large and sharp. Petiole medium length and thickness, anthocyanin "tan" weak at base.
Flowers medium size, deep cup-shaped, yellow-green. Calyx green, clearly visible. Sepals yellow-green, not closed, bent downward. Petals medium size, narrow. Inflorescences medium length (up to 10 cm with petiole), medium density, arranged horizontally or downward inclined. Inflorescence axes thin, rarely hairy, green. Pedicels straight or slightly curved, short. Inflorescence petiole long, medium thickness, green, slightly hairy.
Berries medium (average mass 0.5 g, maximum — 1.0 g), slightly flattened, white, translucent, sweet-sour flavor, good gelling properties. Calyx round, small. Chemical composition: dry matter — 10.7%, total sugars — 7.2%, titratable acidity — 2.5%, ascorbic acid — 52.6%, P-active substances — 399.0 mg/100 g, pectin substances — 5.8%.
Winter-hardy variety, average multi-year yield is 12.4 t/ha (1.8 kg/plant under planting scheme 0.5 x 2.8 m), maximum — 31.5 t/ha (4.5 kg/plant), weakly susceptible to septoria, moderately affected by powdery mildew, not resistant to bud mite.
Advantages of the variety: winter hardiness, high yield, resistance to septoria, good gelling properties of berries.
Disadvantages of the variety: susceptible to bud mite.
