Description
Medium-ripening variety, developed at the Southern Ural Research Institute of Fruit and Vegetable Growing and Potato Cultivation from open-pollinated 'Fayya Plododorodnaya'. Authors: V.S. Ilyin and A.P. Gubenko. Since 2000, included in the State Register of Selection Achievements approved for use in the Volga-Vyatka and Ural regions.
Medium to tall bush, moderately spreading and dense. Growing branches are thin, slightly curved, green. Buds are small, elongated-oval, with sharp tips, sessile. Petiole scar is narrow and rounded.
Leaf five-lobed, medium-sized, green, hairless, wrinkled, leathery, blade concave along midribs. Lobes are pointed, central lobe exceeds lateral ones, elongated, concave, apex bent downward, with additional protrusions. Angle between midribs of lateral lobes is straight and acute. Lateral lobes are of medium length and width, pointed, concave, widely spaced. Basal lobes are well developed. Base of leaf has deep petiole notch, narrow, triangular. Teeth are blunt, medium length, not curled. Petiole is medium length and thickness, slightly hairy, light green, sometimes with anthocyanin coloration, more distinct at base.
Flowers are small, dish-shaped, with weakly expressed perianth rim, light green color. Sepals are not fused, irregularly shaped, reflexed. Inflorescences are single, medium length. Axis is medium thickness, hairless, green. Petiole is medium thickness, slightly curved, light green, hairy.
Berries are medium to large (0.5-1.0 g), one-dimensional, round, red. Seed count is medium. Flavor is sour-sweet with pronounced sweetness, rating 4.5 points. Berries are of universal use. Receptacle is round, closed. Stem is long, thin, green. Chemical composition: total sugars — 10.9%, titratable acidity — 3.1%, ascorbic acid — 36.2 mg/100 g.
Winter-hardy, high-yielding, average multi-year yield is 21.3 t/ha (6.4 kg/plant), self-fertile (50.0%), resistant to powdery mildew, anthracnose, and septoria.
Advantages of the variety: high winter hardiness and yield, flavor qualities, disease resistance.
Disadvantages of the variety: insufficient berry size.
