Description
Medium-maturing variety, obtained at the Far Eastern Research Institute of Horticulture from crossing the varieties Primorsky Champion and Boskopsky Giant. Author N.A. Bolonyaeva-Favorская. Included in the State Register of varieties approved for use in the Far Eastern region in 1959.
Bush is tall, semi-spreading, dense. Growing shoots are light green and slightly grayish, thin. Buds are large, oval, pressed against the shoot, leaf scar shape is rounded-triangular.
Leaf is large, green, wrinkled, with dense venation. Base has a shallow notch. Teeth are broad and blunt. Petiole is of medium length.
Flowers are white-pink, fairly large, cup-shaped, sepals green. Inflorescences are long (up to 13 cm), medium density, half-suspended, axis of medium thickness, petiole long and hairless.
Berries are round, uneven in size — large at the base of the inflorescence (up to 1.2 g), significantly smaller towards the tip. Calyx is small, pedicel is fairly long. Flavor is slightly sweet-sour (3.4 points). Berries are for technical use. Chemical composition: soluble dry matter — 15.2%, total sugars — 5.6%, titratable acidity — 3.6%, ascorbic acid — 150.3 mg/100 g.
Variety is relatively cold-resistant, self-fertile, susceptible to fungal diseases, yield is moderate (3.0-3.5 kg/plant).
Advantages of the variety: long inflorescences, convenient for berry harvesting, simultaneous ripening of the crop.
Disadvantages of the variety: susceptibility to fungal diseases, uneven berry size, mediocre flavor.
