Description
Medium-ripening variety, obtained at the Institute of Fruit Growing of the NAS of Belarus from complex crosses of European varieties, forms of the Siberian subspecies, and the variety Golubka. Author A.G. Voluznev. Since 1979, included in the State Register of Selection Achievements approved for use in most regions of Russia.
Medium-height, large, moderately spreading bush. Growing shoots are thick, green, with anthocyanin coloration, hairless, curved. Woody shoots are thick, straight, gray-brown, shiny, hairless. Buds are medium-sized, ovate, green, with anthocyanin coloration, pointed apex, arranged parallel to the shoot or pressed against it in the upper part. Terminal bud is free, green, medium-sized.
Leaves are large or medium-sized, dark green, matte, almost smooth, leathery, slightly concave. Leaf tips are sharp. Leaf lobes are narrow, sharp, the middle lobe is longer than the lateral ones. Angle of lobe departure is straight. Leaf base has a wide, open notch. Leaf teeth are sharp, short. Petiole is medium length, green, with anthocyanin coloration.
Flowers are medium-sized, reddish, self-fertile. Inflorescence is medium-sized, curved.
Berries are medium-sized (0.9 g), oval-round in shape, black, matte, with thin skin, dry detachment. Peduncle is medium length. Taste is sour-sweet, pleasant (4.3 points), flesh juicy. Berries are of universal use. Chemical composition: dry soluble substances — 16.1%, total sugars — 6.8%, titratable acidity — 2.6%, ascorbic acid — 168.0 mg/100 g, pectic substances (on fresh weight) — 1.0%.
The variety is winter-hardy, high-yielding (8.3 t/ha), characterized by high self-fertility, strongly affected by American powdery mildew, relatively resistant to anthracnose.
Advantages of the variety: high taste qualities of berries.
Disadvantages of the variety: strong infection by American powdery mildew.
