Description
Rainbow Blackcurrant — a medium-late maturing variety, developed by crossing the varieties Memory of Vavilov and Titania. The bushes of this variety are tall, compact, well-shaped, and not overly spreading, which allows for space-saving planting. The leaves are large, and the strong branches do not bend under the weight of the berries, making care and harvest easier. The average bush height is about 110-130 cm, and the actual yield reaches 2.8-3.5 kg per bush.
The berries of the Rainbow variety are large, round-oval in shape, with a dessert-like sweet taste and a mild pleasant acidity. The berries are highly aromatic and ripen almost simultaneously without dropping off. Due to their easy dry detachment and high transportability, this variety is ideal for both manual and mechanized harvesting. The berries are versatile in use: they are used to make drinks, jelly, wine, baked goods, and are also consumed fresh.
The variety is distinguished by high drought resistance and cold hardiness, as well as comprehensive resistance to fungal diseases, pests, and pathogens. Thanks to these qualities, Rainbow requires minimal care and tolerates adverse climatic conditions well. All these characteristics make this variety one of the best for cultivation in both home gardens and industrial-scale production.
