Description
Black currant variety Udalets is an early variety with powerful, loosely spreading bushes up to 1.5 meters high. The berries are large, weighing from 4 to 6 grams, with a dessert, very aromatic taste and high sugar content. Berries ripen simultaneously, and the detachment is dry, which facilitates harvest and preserves fruit quality.
The variety is distinguished by high yield and resistance to main currant diseases, making it a reliable choice for cultivation. Bushes have long, weakly pubescent buds, deflected from the shoot, which contributes to good adaptation and stable fruiting. Due to its resistance and berry quality, currant Udalets withstands transportation well, allowing its use for export and long-term storage.
The crop of this variety is widely used in the food industry: berries are used to make jams, preserves, syrups, infusions, wines, liqueurs, jellies, and pastilles, as well as dried berries. Moreover, currant Udalets is excellent as a filling for confectionery and bakery products, thanks to its rich taste and aroma.
