When dealing with heavy weed pressure, relying on selective herbicides can often lead to wasted time and yield loss. Switching to «Total» by Klov is a strategic decision for those who prefer a systemic approach. As an operator, I find this herbicide predictable and highly effective. It acts as a systemic agent, penetrating the leaves and traveling down to the roots, which is vital for eradicating tough weeds like couch grass or field bindweed that often survive milder treatments.

Application and Performance

The product comes as an aqueous solution, which dissolves well in tank mixes, provided you follow the standard mixing sequence. With an application rate of over 3 L/ha, it is essential to calibrate nozzles correctly to ensure thorough leaf coverage. Because this is a non-selective, systemic product, any drift onto crops must be avoided, which is why we primarily use it as a pre-emergence treatment or as a desiccant before harvest.

• Weed Control: It shows excellent results against Canada thistle, green foxtail, and common lambsquarters. Even dense patches of couch grass succumb if the dosage is calculated correctly.

For the best results, timing is everything: target the phase of active weed growth when sap movement is strongest. If the weeds are stressed by drought, the systemic effect may be compromised, so always monitor field conditions before spraying.
