Description
ALBIDUM 2030 — a medium-maturity soft spring wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) variety recommended for cultivation in various regions of Russia, including the Ural and Far Eastern regions. The vegetation period ranges from 74 to 98 days depending on the region, allowing the variety to mature simultaneously with other popular varieties such as Orenburgskaya Yubileynaya and Khabarovchanka. The plant is characterized by medium or dwarf stature, semi-erect habit, and weak straw structure. The ear is pyramidal, loose with medium density, white kernels, and strong waxiness on the ear and flag leaf sheath. The mass of 1000 grains varies from 31 to 40 grams, indicating good grain quality. The variety demonstrates lodging resistance and drought resistance at the level of standard varieties, making it a reliable choice for various climatic conditions. The yield of the variety in the Ural region reaches an average of 21.2 c/ha, and in the Far Eastern region — up to 27.5 c/ha, with maximum indicators up to 42.4 c/ha. The baking qualities of the variety are good, confirming its value for the production of high-quality flour and bakery products. However, the variety is moderately resistant to powdery mildew, susceptible to brown rust, and highly susceptible to loose smut, requiring the application of appropriate agronomic measures to protect crops. ALBIDUM 2030 has moderate resistance to leaf rust at early growth stages, confirmed by research using molecular markers. Unlike some highly resistant varieties, this variety does not contain a series of known Lr resistance genes but shows partial protection due to the presence of other genetic factors. This makes it suitable for use in integrated plant protection systems, where resistance is achieved through a combination of various methods and variety characteristics.
