Description
AMPER — a new high-yielding winter wheat variety intended for cultivation in the Steppe and Forest-Steppe zones of Ukraine. This medium-maturing variety has a vegetation period of 280–285 days and a semi-dwarf growth type with plant height of 80–90 cm. Due to its structure and characteristics, this variety is versatile in use and well-adapted to various climatic conditions, including cold resistance and drought tolerance.
The AMPER variety exhibits high resistance to diseases such as powdery mildew, root rots, and rust, as well as high resistance to lodging and shattering. These traits ensure stable yields and reduce losses during harvest. The thousand-grain weight is 42–45 grams, indicating grain size and quality. Protein content in the grain ranges from 13% to 14.2%, and gluten content from 27% to 29%, making it attractive for producing high-quality flour.
AMPER responds well to mineral nutrition, which contributes to high-quality grain formation and increased yield. Seeds are produced using modern technologies, ensuring the stability and reliability of planting material. The recommended seeding rate is 4.5–5.5 million seeds per hectare, allowing optimal utilization of the variety’s potential during sowing.
