Description
Desamo — winter soft wheat, registered in 2017 and intended for grain use. This variety belongs to the early-maturing group and is characterized by high quality grain of the miller category. Recommended growing regions include the Forest-Steppe, Polissia, and Steppe, allowing effective use of the variety under various climatic conditions in Ukraine.
The yield of Desamo is distinguished by stability and high productivity: in the Steppe it amounts to 58.1 c/ha, in the Forest-Steppe it reaches 72.7 c/ha, and in Polissia — 66.5 c/ha. The variety exhibits high resistance to adverse factors, including drought (8.5-8.9 points), lodging (8.7-9 points), and shattering (8.9-9 points), ensuring crop conservation and minimizing losses.
Moreover, Desamo demonstrates excellent resistance to major diseases and pests, such as powdery mildew (8.5-9 points), brown rust (8.3-8.6 points), and fusarium (8.7-9 points). These characteristics make the variety a reliable choice for farmers aiming to achieve high-quality yields with minimal risk of plant damage.
