Description
Winter wheat variety Dnistrovka Odeska is one of the popular and versatile varieties developed by breeding farms in Odessa. This variety is characterized by high plasticity and adaptability to different agroclimates and environmental conditions, allowing it to be successfully grown on various soil types and in different regions. The vegetation period lasts 280-284 days, ensuring stable grain formation throughout the season.
Dnistrovka Odeska is characterized by high yield, reaching 11.0-12.5 tons per hectare. The grain possesses excellent baking qualities: gluten content varies from 29% to 33%, and protein content ranges from 13.2% to 13.8%. The variety is resistant to drought, heat, frost, and several diseases, including black spot, rust, septoria, pyrenophora, and powdery mildew, significantly reducing the risk of yield loss and enhancing grain quality.
For sowing, the depth should not exceed 4 cm, and regional sowing dates should be considered. The plant responds well to mineral fertilizers and is suitable for cultivation following such predecessors as sunflower, corn, cereal crops on stubble, and hay. The grain of Dnistrovka Odeska is widely used in the baking industry, as well as in the production of confectionery products, starch, and alcohol, making it an important agricultural crop with high economic potential.
