Description
EKADA 214 is a variety of soft spring wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) with pigmented grain, characterized by medium maturity and medium height. The vegetative period is 81-99 days, allowing the variety to mature 2-3 days earlier compared to the Ulyanovskaya 105 variety. The plant has a semi-upright bush, weakly filled straw, and a pyramid-shaped spike of medium density in white color. The mass of 1000 grains varies from 35 to 41 grams. The waxy coating on the spike and sheath of the flag leaf is expressed at an average or strong level, contributing to the plant's resistance to adverse conditions.
The variety is recommended for cultivation in various regions, including the Central, Volga-Vyatka, Middle Volga, Ural, and Western Siberia. In the Middle Volga region, the average yield reaches 33.2 c/ha, with a maximum figure of 57.6 c/ha recorded in the Republic of Tatarstan. In the Ural and Western Siberia regions, the yield is 14.1 c/ha and 31.4 c/ha, respectively. EKADA 214 possesses resistance to lodging and drought resistance at the level of the standard, making it a reliable choice for various climatic conditions.
