Description
FIURZA 40 is a variety of soft winter wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) developed at the Stavropol Scientific Research Institute of Agriculture. It belongs to medium-early varieties with a vegetative period ranging from 234 to 276 days. The variety exhibits good technological and baking qualities, confirmed by high protein content (approximately 13.8%) and bread volume up to 700 ml. The mass of 1000 grains varies within 36-45 g, indicating large grain size and high crop quality.
FIURZA 40 is distinguished by high winter hardiness, comparable to the 'Batko' variety, as well as enhanced drought tolerance, making it particularly valuable for cultivation in the North Caucasian region and the Stavropol Krai. The variety is resistant to septoria and moderately susceptible to brown rust and powdery mildew, which reduces the risks of crop loss and the need for intensive plant protection.
To achieve maximum yield, which in the region reaches 39.6-41.4 c/ha, it is recommended to grow FIURZA 40 on fallow land and the best non-fallow predecessors, such as peas for green mass or grain. The variety responds well to the application of main fertilizers and top dressing, allowing for effective use of agrotechnical measures to enhance productivity and grain quality.
