Hazarka

Hazarka — a winter wheat variety recommended for cultivation in the Polissia, forest-steppe, and steppe zones. This variety is distinguished by its medium-early maturity and high yield potential, reaching 5.6–6.6 tons per hectare. Plants have a height of approximately 81–82 cm, and the grain features high protein content — 14.0–14.4%, and 1000-grain weight within the range of 35.1–38.4 grams. The optimal seeding rate is 5.0–6.0 million germinating seeds per hectare, ensuring good stand density and maximum productivity.

The Hazarka variety exhibits resistance to numerous diseases and stress factors, making it a reliable choice for farmers. This resistance is achieved through various mechanisms, including xenobiosis, tolerance, avoidance, and antibiosis. This allows minimizing crop losses from pests and pathogens without the need for additional chemical protection, reducing energy expenditures by 25–30% and contributing to environmentally safe production.

Using the Hazarka variety in agroecosystems helps maintain yield and reduce pesticide pollution of the environment. Due to its comprehensive resistance to harmful organisms, this variety is a valuable source for breeding new productive and resilient winter wheat varieties. Thus, Hazarka represents a promising solution for sustainable and efficient agriculture in Ukraine.
