ICAR

ICAR is a mid-season soft spring wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) variety intended for cultivation in various regions of Russia, including the Ural, West Siberian, and Volga-Vyatka regions, as well as the Perm and Tyumen regions. The plants are medium-height with upright shoots and pubescent ears, with grain in an oval shape weighing 34-40 grams per 1000 grains. The variety is characterized by resistance to lodging, which helps preserve the yield and facilitates harvesting.

ICAR has moderate drought resistance and good baking qualities, corresponding to the level of good filler. The yield of the variety varies depending on the region and growing conditions, average indicators reaching 27.4 centners per hectare, and maximums up to 60 centners per hectare. Despite this, the variety is susceptible to a number of diseases, including powdery and hard head blights, brown rust, powdery mildew, and septoria, which requires the application of appropriate agro-technical and protective measures.

ICAR is recommended for cultivation in conditions of a temperate climate, taking into account its regional adaptations. Thanks to resistance to lodging and good technological properties of the grain, the variety is suitable for the production of quality flour and bakery products. With proper care and protection from diseases, ICAR is able to provide a stable and high yield, which makes it an attractive choice for agricultural producers.
