MIRABEL 20

MIRABEL 20 is a variety of soft winter wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) characterized by medium maturity and medium stature. The plants are short, with a height ranging from 57 to 93 cm, and have a semi-upright bush. The ear is cylindrical, of medium density and length, with short awns at the tip. The grain is large, with the mass of 1000 grains varying from 35 to 46 g, and is colored. There is a weak or medium waxy coating on the flag leaf sheath and ear, which contributes to resistance to unfavorable weather conditions. The vegetation period is 292-318 days; the variety matures 2-5 days earlier than some other varieties, such as Bezenchukskaya 380 and Kazan 285. The variety is distinguished by high winter hardiness and resistance to lodging, confirmed by ratings of 3.4-5.0 points. Drought resistance is at the level or slightly above the standard, which makes MIRABEL 20 a reliable choice for various climatic conditions. The yield of the variety is stable and high: on average over the years of testing it ranged from 4.30 to 5.76 tons per hectare, and in some regions reached 58.7 c/ha. The variety is recommended for cultivation in various regions, including the Ural, Western Siberia, Eastern Siberia, Far East, and Middle Volga regions, as well as in the Samara region and the Republic of Tatarstan. MIRABEL 20 has good baking qualities. Protein content in the grain reaches 15.4%, raw gluten is 30.0-32.4%, and flour strength is 328 units of strength, ensuring a voluminous bread yield within 1100-1250 cm³. The overall baking rating of the variety is 4.8 points, indicating high quality of flour and bread. The variety is moderately susceptible to brown rust and has medium resistance to powdery mildew, which requires attention during crop protection. Overall, MIRABEL 20 represents a technological and productive wheat variety with good agronomic and technological characteristics.
