Odeta

Odelta is a mid-maturing soft spring wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) variety with high potential yield and ecological plasticity. This variety is characterized by resistance to major diseases such as powdery mildew, brown rust, and septoria, as well as resistance to lodging and drought, making it a reliable choice for various climatic conditions. The mass of 1000 grains varies from 35 to 46 grams, indicating good seed quality.

Odelta is recommended for cultivation in the Central and Central Black Earth regions, including the Bryansk, Belgorod, Kursk, Lipetsk, and Oryol regions. Average yield in these regions reaches from 36.9 to 50.8 centners per hectare, while in state trials the yield can reach 89.4–91.8 c/ha. For optimal sowing, a recommended sowing rate of 380–400 seeds per square meter is advised for early sowing dates and 400–450 seeds for late sowing dates.

To increase resistance and crop quality, Odelta seeds are recommended to be treated with fungicides and insecticides, including nicotinoid group preparations. In agronomy, an important element is the application of nitrogen fertilizers in several stages: at sowing 50–60 kg/hectare of active substance, at the boot stage 30–40 kg/hectare, and liquid fertilizers at heading 10–20 kg/hectare. The variety has good baking qualities, making it in demand for the production of high-quality flour and bakery products.
