Description
PRIIRTYSKAYA 2 is a variety of soft winter wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) characterized by a medium-early maturity period and tall growth. The plant features a semi-erect bush, with a height ranging from 65 to 94 cm. The vegetative period ranges from 311 to 335 days, allowing the variety to mature several days earlier than standard varieties such as Skitser. The ear is pyramidal in shape, of medium length and density, with colored grain. The mass of 1000 grains is within the range of 37-48 g, indicating the high productivity of the variety. The straw is weakly expressed, with a moderate waxy coating on the ear and the sheath of the flag leaf, as well as a strong waxy coating on the upper internode of the straw. The variety is distinguished by high resistance to lodging and shattering, as well as high frost resistance and winter hardiness, making it suitable for cultivation in various regions of Western and Eastern Siberia, including Omsk, Tomsk, and Tyumen regions, and the Krasnoyarsk Territory. PRIIRTYSKAYA 2 demonstrates resistance to brown and stem rust, as well as powdery mildew at the level of standard varieties. However, susceptibility to snow mold is somewhat higher, which requires attention during agronomic activities. The yield of the variety is high and stable: average indicators reach 28.2 c/ha, while maximum indicators reach up to 56.8 c/ha under favorable conditions. In terms of grain quality, the variety meets the requirements for valuable wheat, possessing baking properties at the level of a good filler and satisfactory indicators. Thanks to the combination of high productivity, resistance to adverse factors, and grain quality, PRIIRTYSKAYA 2 is a promising choice for agricultural production in regions with a moderately continental climate.
