Winter wheat variety Python is a moderately early, semi-erect variety with high bread-making qualities. It is characterized by high tillering, excellent resistance to lodging and main leaf and ear diseases, including powdery mildew, septoria, and fusarium. The variety has high winter hardiness and rapid spring emergence, ensuring stable and high productivity in Steppe and Forest-Steppe zones.
Python wheat seeds have a hectoliter weight of 78–80 kg, protein content in grain of 13.2–14.0%, and gluten content of 29–30%. The variety is resistant to heat, drought, lodging, and stem breakage, making it a reliable choice for various climatic conditions. Resistance to rust and powdery mildew is rated as moderate, while resistance to septoria and fusarium is rated as medium-high and high, respectively. Bread-making qualities of the grain are good, class A.
