Description
«Uralsibirskaya 2» is distinguished by high yield and a semi-intensive cultivation type. The potential yield of the variety can exceed 60 c/ha, while average yield indicators in the Ural and West Siberian regions are about 28 and 23.5 c/ha, respectively. The mass of 1000 grains varies within 38-43 g, and grain natural weight reaches 730 g/l. Raw gluten content is at the level of 26-28%, which ensures good baking qualities, confirmed by a bread volume of about 970 ml and a general bread quality rating of 3.3 points.
The variety has high resistance to lodging and shattering, as well as good drought tolerance. However, it is susceptible to root rots, powdery mildew, powdery and hard bunt, which requires a careful agrotechnical approach when growing. It is recommended for cultivation in the Kurgan and Omsk regions, as well as generally in the Ural and West Siberian regions, where it successfully demonstrates its high agronomic and technological characteristics.
