Description
Yatran' 60 — a mid-season wheat variety recommended for cultivation in the Polissia, forest-steppe, and steppe zones. It is intended for grain use and has a high yield potential, reaching 4.4–4.6 tons per hectare. Plant height ranges from 85 to 100 cm, thousand-grain weight is 39–42 grams, and protein content is 12.5–14.0%, indicating good grain quality.
The variety exhibits high resistance to various adverse factors, including lodging, shattering, root rot, septoria, fusarium, brown rust, and powdery mildew, with resistance ratings from 5 to 8 points. The seeding rate is 5.0–6.0 million germinating seeds per hectare. Due to its winter hardiness, confirmed by long-term studies in the Poltava region, Yatran' 60 maintains high viability even under harsh winter conditions, including prolonged snow cover and sharp temperature fluctuations.
Studies have shown that this variety has one of the best winter hardiness levels among more than 150 winter wheat varieties grown in the region, ensuring its reliability and stable yield. High resistance to diseases and stress factors makes Yatran' 60 an attractive choice for agronomists seeking high-quality and stable grain yields.
