Description
Yuvivata 60 wheat is a medium-maturing grain variety developed specifically for cultivation in the Polissia and Forest-Steppe regions. This variety is characterized by intensive growth rates and a vegetation period of 281 to 289 days. Due to its low stem base position and branched root system, Yuvivata 60 exhibits high winter hardiness and drought resistance, making it well-adapted to stressful growing conditions. Plants of medium height (79–85 cm) form a pyramidal, loose-structured ear 10–14 cm long, covered with white awns 4.8–6.1 cm long.
The variety features large grains with a 1000-grain weight ranging from 37.2–60 g and a grain density of 785–820 g/l. Depending on growing conditions, protein content varies from 12.5 to 14.5%, ensuring good grain quality. Yuvivata 60 is distinguished by high yield potential, reaching 6–10 t/ha at a seeding rate of 4.5–5.0 million seeds per hectare. The variety responds particularly well to mineral fertilization and cultivation following favorable preceding crops.
Yuvivata 60 exhibits high resistance to major diseases, including root rot, septoria, fusarium, brown and hard rust, as well as powdery mildew. Additionally, the variety is resistant to lodging due to shortened internodes and thickened stem walls, and to shattering and pests with piercing-sucking apparatus. These traits make Yuvivata 60 a reliable choice for field conditions with variable climates and diverse stress factors.
