ZIMTRA

ZIMTRA is a type of soft winter wheat (Triticum aestivum L.), developed by FGBNU 'SKSROS Krasnodar NIISSK' and included in the State Register for the North Caucasian and Lower Volga regions. The variety belongs to medium-maturing types, features a medium-stature growth type, and possesses lodging resistance, which ensures crop stability and facilitates harvesting. ZIMTRA is characterized by medium winter hardiness and drought resistance at the level of the Don 93 variety, making it suitable for cultivation in various climatic conditions, including the Volgograd region.

ZIMTRA wheat is distinguished by its high baking qualities: the average protein content in the grain is 16.0%, gluten is 31.7%, flour strength reaches 362 units of activity, and the loaf volume from flour of this variety reaches 780 cm³. The overall quality rating of the bread on a 5-point scale is 5 points, indicating its value for the food industry and production of high-quality grain products. The grain of this variety has a mass of 1000 grains ranging from 34-43 grams and belongs to the Erirosperminum sub-variety.

The variety is resistant to brown rust and Septoria, but is susceptible to solid bunt and Fusarium of the ear. The grains do not shed and do not sprout on the root, which reduces losses during harvesting and storage. Due to its characteristics and product patent, ZIMTRA is a reliable and promising choice for agricultural production in the North Caucasus and Lower Volga regions.
