Black currant Kudesnik variety consists of a medium-sized bush with straight, grayish shoots and dark green, leathery, wrinkled leaves with sharp teeth. The leaves have three lobes with small notches and sharp tips, while their plate is smooth and glossy. Bushes differ in medium spreading and medium shoot thickness, which ensures ease of care and harvest collection.
Kudesnik variety berries are large, oval-round in shape, black in color with a glossy skin of medium thickness. The average berry weight is about 2.2–2.4 grams, with a maximum of 4 grams. The berries have a sour-sweet taste with a refreshing aroma, making them versatile for various uses. The berries contain a significant amount of vitamin C (about 172–204 mg%), sugar from 4.0 to 6.9%, and acid of about 2.4%, which ensures high taste quality and nutritional value.
The variety is characterized by high winter hardiness, as well as good drought and heat resistance, allowing it to be grown in various climatic conditions. Diseases and pests affect the bushes weakly, reducing the need for intensive plant protection.
