SINEGORIE

Sinegorie is a large-fruited variety of black currant bred by Russian breeders, distinguished by its high yield and resistance to adverse weather conditions. The bushes are medium-sized, spreading, with straight shoots of grayish-ash color, reaching a height of about 100-120 centimeters. Leaves are a rich emerald shade, trifoliolate, with a smooth upper side and large veins on the underside. Flowers are yellowish and of medium size. The variety has high self-fertility, does not require pollinators, which simplifies care and increases yield stability. Sinegorie berries are large, round in shape, with a dense, shiny black skin and greenish pulp with a fruity aroma. The average berry weight is 2.5-4 grams, maximum up to 6.5 grams, which is comparable to the size of a cherry. The taste is harmonious, sweet-and-sour with moderate acidity and about 8% sugar content, giving the berries a pleasant sweetness without excessive sourness. Berry detachment is dry, harvesting is easy and fast; fruits do not shed or bruise, ensuring good shelf life and ease of storage for up to two weeks under cool conditions. The Sinegorie variety is characterized by high resistance to diseases and pests, as well as increased winter hardiness, withstanding temperatures down to -40 degrees Celsius without the need for covering. It is adapted to various climatic conditions, including cool summers in the north and arid climates in the south. Yield per bush with proper care reaches 5-6 kilograms.
